Writer-Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra announced his autobiography, The Stranger In The Mirror, on Tuesday, July 20. The book’s cover was unveiled by Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, who worked with the filmmaker in Delhi 6 and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
She took to social media to share the book’s first look and also shared a throwback picture with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The Stranger In The Mirror will hit the stands across India on July 27.
Sonam captioned the post, “#FIRSTLOOK. Mehra is a great mentor for any actor in the industry. To see his zeal and vision translate onto the screen is truly magical! Published by Rupa Publications, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has co-written The Stranger In The Mirror with author Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta. He reposted Sonam Kapoor’s Instagram post revealing the first look of the book and wrote, “Here’s the cover reveal of the book written by @officialreetagupta and yours truly, hope y’all enjoy my journey.”
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra started his career as an ad-filmmaker. He made his directorial debut with Aks starring Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon in 2001. He has made several successful films such as Rang De Basanti and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, among others. His last release, Toofaan, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
