Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ has been welcomed with cinegoers. After a good opening, the collections on day two have soared massively.
The Abhishek Pathak directorial has opened to a positive response from critics and audiences at the domestic box office and registered the second-best opening of the year in Bollywood after Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (36 crores incl. all versions).
On its very first day, Drishyam 2 was started at a decent note in the morning and recorded tremendous growth from the afternoon shows. At the end of the day, it registered an excellent business of 15.38 crores nett.
On Saturday, the film recorded terrific occupancy across all the centres and minted the amount of 21.59 crores nett. With this, the total collection of Drishyam 2 after 2 days has become 36.97 crores nett from 3302 screens across India. On Sunday as well, it is expected to remain rock solid at the box office.
Going by the early trends, it looks like Drishyam 2 will finally give some relief to Ajay Devgn who has already given two flops (Runway 34 and Thank God) this year.
