Salman Khan’s Tubelight Releases on 5550 Screens Worldwide
Superstar Salman Khan’s war drama film Tubelight is all set to hit screens this Friday on 23rd of June under the bannner of Salman Khan Films and Kabir Khan Films on a grand note. The movie is being released on 5550 screens worldwide, that includes 4350 screens of India and rest 1200 of overseas. The overseas distribution is yet to be signed by any production house and we hear, all biggies such as YRF, Fox Star are lining up for it.
Tubelight is one of the most awaited movies of the year and has enormous hype among audience across the country as well as overseas. The movie has reported strong advance booking and is positively expected to witnessed around 80% of occupancy on the opening day. With such great buzz and wide number screens, it won’t be difficult for Kabir Khan’s directorial to register atleast second highest opening of the year after Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 Hindi (41 crores).
After earning Rs 20 crore for its music right, Tubelight‘s distribution rights have been sold for a whopping amount. According to a report in DNA, NH Studioz has bought the all-India distribution rights for Rs 132 crore. Made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, the film has already made a profit of more than Rs 120 crore. Before this Sony Music acquired the music rights of Tubelight for Rs 20 crore.
Tubelight also stars late actor Om Puri, Mohammed Zeeshan and Sohail Khan in key roles. Other than Tubelight, Salman also has another release in December which is Ek Tha Tiger’s sequel, titled Tiger Zinda Hai. The film stars Katrina Kaif along with Salman and is currently being shot in Austria.
Today morning we saw a still of Salman and Katrina together after a song shoot where the duo look absolutely stunning. After creative differences with Kabir Khan during Tubelight, Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai sequel was passed on to Sultan’s director Ali Abbas Zafar.
