12 Days Total Box Office Collection of MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story continues to move at a steady pace even in week two of its release. The film, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, collected huge amount at the Indian box office on its 11th day. On the second Monday, the film collected Rs 3.40 crore, thereby taking the total domestic box office collection to Rs 112.70 crore net. “#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory [Week 2] Fri 4.07 cr, Sat 5.20 cr, Sun 5.90 cr, Mon 3.40 cr. Total: ₹ 112.70 cr. India biz. Note: Hindi+Tamil+Telugu,” Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The film took nine days to reach the Rs. 100 crore mark. At least two things are clear — Dhoni is a winner and that’s not just in the cricket arena, and given the right script and idea a film can enter Rs 100 crore box office without the presence of a Khan. The film may not have been able to break records like Sultan, nevertheless, Sushant Singh Rajput managed his own publicity for the film. Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday, being Dussehra holiday it showed good growth of 24% and added the amount of 4.21 crores to its account.
With this total 12 days domestic collection of the movie has become 116.91 crores. Not just at the Indian box office, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has been collecting money at overseas markets as well, although the pace of its collection has slowed down due to the release of other movies. At the Indian theatres, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story remains almost unaffected, despite new release Harshvardhan Kapoor-starrer Miryza, and continues to draw audience to the theatres.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story revolves around the journey of Mahendra Singh Dhoni from working as a ticket collector to becoming the captain of the Indian cricket team. Sushant’s stupendous performance has been well appreciated by audience and critics alike. Directed by Neeraj Pandey and produced by Arun Pandey and Fox Star studios, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story also stars Kiara Advani as Sakshi Dhoni, and Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in other key roles.
