After a dull opening, new offerings from Bollywood- Hate Story 4 and 3 Storeys have completed the opening weekend on a below average note, while Dil Juunglee remained on ground throughout. All three have received mixed reviews from critics, but due to star power the first two attracted some audience over the weekend.
Directed by Vishal Pandya, Hate Story 4 stars Urvashi Rautela in a leading role, who has worked in few movies so far but still has a high stardom. Her boldness is one of the major reasons, that is attracting the targeted audience toward the theaters, otherwise, critics have given mixed reviews for it.
On the opening day, Hate Story 4 opened to an average note and did the business of only 3.76 crores across the country. On the next day i.e. Saturday, the movie witnessed limited growth than Friday and minted 4.19 crores. Then on Sunday with slight more rise, it raked the business of 4.62 crores and raised it’s opening weekend total to 12.57 crores.
On the other hand, Aleya Sen’s debut directorial Dil Juunglee is an Indian romantic comedy film. It stars Taapsee Pannu & Saqib Saleem. On the first day, it recorded dull occupancy nationwide and did the business of 0.35 crores. On the next day i.e. Saturday, the movie showed decent drop and added the amount of 0.30 crores to it’s account. On Sunday, Dil Juunglee bagged 0.35 crores and raised opening weekend domestic total to 1 crores.
The last one, 3 Storeys is a thriller drama and starring Richa Chadda, Pulkit Samrat, Sharman Joshi, Sunny Nijar, Ankit Rathi, Aisha Ahmed. On the opening day, it did the business of only 0.35 crore. Due to mixed critics reviews and low footfalls, the movie remained dull over the weekend and minted 0.60 crore on Saturday and 0.70 crore on Sunday. With this, it’s first weekend total has become 1.65 crore.
