Commando 2 6 Days Total Collection

Bollywood’s very popular actor Vidyut Jammawal, Commando 2 is showing decent performance at box office. The film has been released with good craze among fans, as everyone was waiting for this from last year. But after release, it has not taken the start that was expected earlier. It has received almost positive reviews from most of the critics, but still it has showed any impressive performance.

On the opening day, Deven Bhojani’s directorial this action thriller reported average occupancy on around 2200 screens across the country and did the business of 5.14 crores with all the versions- Hindi, Tamil & Telugu. On the second day instead of rise, Commando 2 faced drop and minted the amount of 4.42 crores, and 6.19 crores of Sunday.

Now the movie has entered in the weekdays and as expected faced almost 50% of drop than weekend on Monday. It did the business of 2.34 crores as its fourth day collection. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it received almost similar response and collected the amount of 1.93 crores. Then on Wednesday again it faced slightly more drop and added 1.64 crore to its account and made its 6 days total domestic collection as 21.66 crores.

Since the film has seen largely stable Monday and Tuesday, it is expected that the rest of the weekdays would stay fine as well, hence allowing the Vipul Shah production to gather Rs. 23-24 crore in its entire week One. For a one film old hero who comes with zero Bollywood background and has no Godfather backing per se, Vidyut Jammwal has managed to start building a fan base, which is remarkable.

Had the film seen a much larger growth over the weekend (especially at the multiplexes), it would have been set for a bigger score. Currently, it is in a situation where Badrinath Ki Dulhania would be a huge challenge in its second week. However, just like Commando managed to have a good shelf life over the years, especially on television, one foresees the same for Deven Bhojani directed Commando 2 too as well in months and years to come.
