Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada released on February 17, saw a similar response in collections on its second day at the box office. Being well promoted, it was expected to get decent response on box office but mixed reviews of critics as well as moviegoers, have spoiled all the excitement of audience.
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada reported almost 22% of occupancy on around 3000 screens across the country and did the business of 6 crores on Day 1. On the next day i.e. Saturday, it reported similar response and raked only 6.65 crores on its second day.
After 2 days total domestic collection of Shehzada was recorded as 12.65 crores. Sunday is expected to result in higher but with such slow pace, the movie won’t have enough hold in weekdays.
The film produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts and Brat Films happens to be a remake of the 2020 South blockbuster Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo featuring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in the lead role.
Shehzada features Kartik Aaryan, who also co-produced the film, alongside Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar.
