Satyaprem Ki Katha box office collection day 1: The romantic drama by Sameer Vidwans, which stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak and among others, received a good opening at the box office.
As per the latest reports suggest that SPKK has managed to make a total collection of Rs 9.25 crores on the very first day, which is the sixth-highest opening of 2023 so far in Bollywood after Pathaan (Rs 57 crores), Adipurush (Rs 37.25 crores), KKBKKJ (Rs 15.81 crores), TJMM (Rs 15.73 crores) and Bholaa (Rs 11.20 crores)
However, Satyaprem Ki Katha has opened better than the last Kartik Aaryan film, Shehzada which collects Rs 6 crores domestically. While, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s last year released Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 collects Rs 14.11 crores.
The opening is also in the same range as Kiara Advani’s June 2022 release, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, which collected Rs 9.28 cr.
Due to the working day aspect, Friday’s collections will suffer, but Saturday and Sunday’s collections will rebound to achieve a four-day extended weekend.
