O Romeo 1st day box office collection: The much-anticipated romantic action thriller O Romeo has opened to a decent start at the domestic box office, collecting an estimated Rs 8.75 crore to Rs 9.20 crore on its first day of release.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film hit theatres on 13 February 2026, strategically timed for the Valentine’s Day weekend. The release date helped the film capitalize on strong evening and night show occupancies, particularly in metro cities.
Headlined by Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, O’ Romeo generated considerable pre-release buzz thanks to its unique blend of romance and underworld drama. However, the film opened to mixed reviews from critics, which slightly impacted its overall day-one momentum.
Trade analysts note that while morning shows started on a moderate note, collections improved significantly in the evening, especially in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and other urban circuits. The film reportedly performed better in multiplexes compared to single screens.
Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey in pivotal roles.
