Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming romantic drama Love & War is now set to release worldwide on January 21, 2027, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend. The film is expected to be one of the year’s biggest theatrical releases.
The project stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The casting has already generated significant buzz, marking the trio’s first collaboration under Bhansali’s direction.
The updated release date follows a recent confirmation from Ranbir Kapoor, who revealed that the film had been postponed from its earlier June 2026 window. He shared the update during an Instagram Live session celebrating the anniversary of his lifestyle brand ARKS.
Reports suggest the makers opted for the January 2027 release to avoid a direct box office clash with Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.
Mounted on a grand scale, Love & War is described as a romantic drama with a strong emotional core, reflecting Bhansali’s signature visual style and storytelling. The film is being positioned as one of his most ambitious romantic ventures to date.
