The fourth installment of the superhero movie series, Krrish 4, will be produced by Rakesh Roshan and Aditya Chopra and directed by Hrithik Roshan. The film shooting is expected to commence early next year.
The Krrish franchise, which began with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003 and evolved into a superhero saga with Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013), has been a trailblazer in Indian cinema.
Rakesh, who has helmed the last three movies in the franchise, said he was proud of his son’s new role. He also made an official announcement on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 yrs you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Adi Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings.”
The script is locked and pre-visualization is being worked upon. The movie vows to put India on the global map and will be the most ambitious project in Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Hrithik is currently working on YRF’s War 2, which will be released in August.
