This Independence Day weekend witnessed a three-way Bollywood clash at the box office with Khel Khel Mein, Vedaa and Stree 2 releasing on the same day. As the result, Khel Khel Mein struggled to find its footing, collecting less than Rs 2 crore nett in India on Friday.
On its day 1, Khel Khel Mein earned Rs 5.23 crores at the box office, with its day 2 collection, the film’s total now stands at Rs 7.65 crores. And it is likely to grow over the weekend.
But, Khel Khel Mein managed to garner more than double the collections of Vedaa in all the major multiplexes, including PVR-Inox and Cinepolis.
The weekend business of Khel Khel Mein will finally decide where the film will end at.
With no big release coming up for the next 5 weeks, the field is clear for Khel Khel Mein.
