The sequel of Kannada film KGF, KGF Chapter 2, starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon in lead roles, released on Friday. The period action drama Kannada film has been released on 7000+ screens nationwide in the original & dubbed Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, & Malayalam languages.
Once again Prashanth Neel has proved the power of his great skill and made everyone to give standing ovation. Except few ones, all the critics have reacted in the complete favor of KGF 2. As per them, the latest installment is more gripping and spectacular than the first part. With such super positive words, the movie has gained strong word of mouth.
On the opening day, Hombale Films’ production opened on an earth shattering note, reported 85-90% of occupancy across the country for morning shows. Reportedly, KGF Chapter 2 smashed all the records at the box office as the movie created history by setting a new advance ticket record. It broke advance ticket booking records of movies like Baahubali 2 and Avengers Endgame.
From evening shows, KGF Chapter 2 witnessed more footfalls and at the end registered highest ever opening of Indian cinema with 116 crores nett (134.50 crores gross) with Hindi 53.95 cr (61.50 crores gross), Kannada 22.85 cr (26.40 crores gross) as the main contributors, Telugu 26.40 cr (31 crores gross) & followed by Tamil & Malayalam at 7.90 cr (8.20 crores gross) & 4.90 cr (7.40 crores gross) business including all the versions, which is way higher than the earlier predictions.
One of the emerging pan-India production houses, Hombale Films is set to showcase some of the biggest films in Indian cinema over the next two years, including the much-awaited film Salaar starring Prabhas.
