Gadar 2 box office collection day 49: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2: The Katha Continues has completed seven weeks at the box office. Despite the dominance of Jawan, Gadar 2 has managed to survive well at the box office.
In last 6 weeks, Anil Sharma’s directorial raked the business of Rs 522 crores on an overall excellent note that included Rs 284.63 crores of the first week, Rs 134.47 crores of the second, Rs 63.35 crores of the third, Rs 27.55 crores of the fourth, Rs 7.28 crores of the fifth and Rs 4.72 crores of the sixth week.
In the seventh weekend, the Hindi period-action drama remained almost steady and did the business of Rs 1.65 crore, that included Rs 0.40 crore of Friday, Rs 0.55 crore of Saturday and Rs 0.70 crore of Sunday. Then in weekdays, as usual, the movie witnessed drops in footfalls but still got a considerable response.
On 7th Monday, Gadar 2 minted the amount of Rs 0.35 crore. With similar pace, it bagged the amount of Rs 0.35 crore on 7th Tuesday, Rs 0.40 crore on 7th Wednesday and Rs 0.25 crore on 7th Thursday. With this, the total collection has become Rs 525 crores at the domestic box office.
‘Gadar 2’ is a sequel to the critically acclaimed ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reprised their legendary roles as Tara and Sakeena in the film. The film also includes Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, and Simratt Kaur in significant roles.
