Dunki box office collection day 1: The most-anticipated film ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, which released Thursday, has been opened on a good note.
On the opening day, Dunki was opened at a good note in the morning on Thursday with around 20-25% occupancy. Post noon shows, expectedly it had picked up very well and bagged the amount of 29.20 crores nett from 4000 screens nationwide.
It needs to be noted that the SRK starrer has arrived in cinema halls on a working weekday. It might pick up pace over the upcoming Christmas weekend.
However, the other hiccup for Dunki would be Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which will be released in theatres on Friday. Even before its release, the film is posing a tough challenge to Dunki at the ticket counters.
Directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal (billed as a special appearance), and Boman Irani. Dunki opened to mixed reviews on Thursday.
