After giving two blockbusters action-thriller films, Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is ready to entertain once again with a comedy-drama titled Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who is also known for the blockbuster hits Munna Bhai series, 3 Idiots, PK, and Sanju.
Plot: Four friends in a small village of Punjab, dream to go to England. But neither do they have tickets nor any approved visas. Their lives change when a soldier arrives one day and promises to take them to their dreamland. Together, they set out on a perilous journey which tests their courage and ideologies. “Dunki” is a heartwarming story of friendships, borders, nostalgia for home and love.
Performance: Shah Rukh Khan’s performance in this emotional comedy family drama is superb. Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and other cast members are decent. Vicky Kaushal is impressive in an extended cameo.
Direction: Rajkumar Hirani’s work both as the director and the editor is fine and neat. He shows again a new magic on screen.
Final Words: Overall, Dunki is a must watch movie which is really impressive with this new script and spectacular performances. Highly recommended family entertainer this season. Ends the year happily with this film.
