Actor-producer Sanjay Dutt’s Three Dimension Motion Pictures and Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global (Aspect Entertainment), invited the media to announce their first-ever joint venture. The project was kept under wraps until the event, where it was finally revealed to be the sequel to one of Dutt’s most loved films, Khalnayak (1993), titled Khalnayak Returns.
The teaser resonated with audiences, recalling Dutt’s memorable role in the original blockbuster and generating excitement on social media. Dutt captioned the teaser: “Kuch kahaani khatam nahi hoti… woh dobara shuru hoti hai. ‘Khalnayak Returns’.”
The teaser was launched at a large event in Mumbai, where the film’s posters were also revealed, offering a closer look at Dutt’s character. The posters were accompanied by the caption: “Har kahaani ka ek waqt hota hai…aur uska waqt aa gaya hai. ‘Khalnayak Returns’.”
Sanjay Dutt stars in the lead role, but details regarding the rest of the cast and the plot have not yet been disclosed. The film is produced in collaboration with Jio Studios, Aspect Entertainment, and Three Dimension Motion Pictures. Aspect Production, the entertainment division of Aspect Global Ventures, has acquired the production rights for the sequel.
The original ‘Khalnayak’, directed by Subhash Ghai, gained acclaim for its compelling story, popular music, and performances by Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Madhuri Dixit. It was among Bollywood’s most successful films upon its 1993 release and remains widely popular.
