Recalling his last meeting with Sanjay Gupta, Milap Zaveri revealed that the two had met just 10 days before the filmmaker’s demise. During their conversation, Zaveri mentioned the title of his upcoming film, which prompted an emotional reaction from Gupta.
According to Variety India, Zaveri recalled Gupta’s excitement upon hearing the title Parwana, revealing that the filmmaker immediately connected it to his family’s cinematic history. Gupta told him that the original film with the same title had been produced by his father.
Sharing his emotions about the moment, Milap expressed how deeply Gupta’s reaction had affected him. He also confirmed that the upcoming film would be dedicated to the filmmaker, whom he fondly regarded as his mentor and Guruji.
