After passing the opening weekend on a good note despite a decent start, Stree is heading steadily on weekdays. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer this horror comedy drama has got succeed to win everyone’s heart and gained strong word of mouth.
With no big star, this horror comedy opened on a slow note but picked up well from evening shows due to positive reactions. By remaining steady throughout the opening weekend, it did the business of 32.27 crores, that included 6.83 crores of Friday, 10.87 crores of Saturday and 14.57 crores of Sunday from across the country.
Now Stree is running on weekdays and as usual, faced an abrupt drop in footfalls. On Monday, it faced a drop of approx. 33.5% than Friday and minted the amount of 9.70 crores. With a slight more dip, Shraddha and Rajkummar starrer raked the business of 5.27 crores on Tuesday. With this, the total collection of the film after 5 days has become 47.24 crores at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se has received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained poor word of mouth. In the opening weekend, it raked the business of 6.32 crores, that included 1.82 crore of Friday, 1.80 crore of Saturday and 2.70 crores of Sunday.
On Monday, Navaniat Singh’s directorial dropped considerably as usual but still managed to remain good and collected 1.25 crore. Then on Tuesday, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se registered the business of 0.95 crore and raised its 5 days domestic total to 8.52 crores.
