Expected Opening of Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor
Sonakshi Sinha’s much awaited movie of the year Noor is all set to hit screens on 21st April i.e. tomorrow. The actress was last seen in Force 2 (2016) opposite to John Abraham and now has come back after a long gap with an actress oriented movie. Noor comes across as a film that should bring in some sort of entertainment value through comic relief and breezy moments.
Since Sonakshi Sinha has demonstrated her comic timing in the past, one expects her to lead the show well here. One of the most admirable directors Sunhil Sippy’ Noor is buzzing among fans as well as audience from a good time and has gained much hype with its official trailer & music. Being actress oriented movie, entire industry is endorsing Noor, which will definitely lead it to get decent opening across the country.
Advance booking of Noor was started from Wednesday completely and has reported an average response on ticket window. As per the report, the movie is releasing on fair number of screens across India and is expected to witnessed 25-30 % of occupancy on Friday. However, the film has the kind of theme which can see better occupancy towards the evening shows. Moreover, there is Sonakshi Sinha in there and that adds on to the face value.
With such occupancy and initial hype, Noor can take the decent opening of 4-4.5 crores* from Indian screens. Further performance will depend on the reactions of audience. In UAE-GCC, the movie has already released a day earlier and witnessing positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers.
Noor is based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me! and follows a Pakistani journalist-writer Noor’s misadventures and love life as she navigates her way through Mumbai.
