I {AI} Movie 5th Day Box Office Collection:

Shankar’s I (AI) movie released worldwide on January 14th 2015 on the occasion of Pongal (sankranti) around 3000 Screens worldwide in 3 different languages simultaneously Tamil, Hindi, Telugu. AI I movie is released in more number of screens all over the world compared to other previous tamil movies. I Movie took 3 years to complete shoot. Vikram-Shankar’s magnum opus “I” (“Ai”) continues to fare well at the Indian box office. The film has grossed over Rs.55 crore in just three days in India, according to Box Office India. While the Tamil and Telugu versions hit the screens on 14 January, the Hindi version made it to theatres on Friday, 16 January. Although the Hindi version of “I” has opened on a decent note, its performance has not been up to the mark when compared to the South versions. The Tamil version of “I” minted Rs.31 crore, while the Telugu and the Hindi versions of the film have raked in over Rs.22 crore and Rs.1.95 crore in three days at the Indian box office. 5th Day Box Office Income Report:

The Vikram-starrer has done exceptionally well despite getting mixed reports from critics. It has failed to create any record in Tamil Nadu so far. It was expected to break “Lingaa” and “Kaththi” collections on the first day, but it did not happen. “I” fetched around Rs.8 crore nett in Tamil Nadu, but failed to beat “Lingaa” and “Kaththi” collections, which was over Rs.12 crore. The Pongal/Sankranti holidays has worked in film’s favour and has helped in fetching fantastic collections at the box office. However, one needs to wait and watch as to how the film performs during the weekdays. Now, Vikram-Shankar’s magnum opus “I” (“Ai”) continues to fare well at the Indian box office. The film has grossed over Rs.85 crore in just five days in India. The film witnessed a drop in its collection, but film again picked up on Sunday. The growth on Fifth Day was expected due to Sunday holiday. On Fifth day, the film earned more than Rs.15 crore at the worldwide box office, taking its overall total to Rs.100+ crores.
