Puneeth Rajkumar’s “Chakravyuha” is off to a flying start at the Sandalwood box office. The movie was released on Friday, April 29 and performed well at the collection centres. “#Chakravyuha off to a good start. Should do superb business over the weekend as well,” trade tracker Kannada box office posted on Twitter. The movie was released in over 200 screens in Karnataka and has been met with good response from the audience in all the key centres. “Chakravyuha” had special shows in many theatres in Bengaluru and in other parts of Karnataka. It was grandly welcomed by the fans of Puneeth Rajkumar. The morning shows and prime-time evening shows registered cent percent occupancies in the key centres.

Owing to the good pre buzz, the makers of “Chakravyuha” decided to release the movie outside Karnataka. It was simultaneously released in Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune where it enjoyed good occupancies. It has to be noted that the Kannada flick had its premiere in Australia and the show ran to packed house. The buzz is that “Chakravyuha” has got the biggest opening for Puneeth Rajkumar. The industry estimates the film to have earned above Rs. 6 crore on the first day. However, the makers are yet to reveal the official number.


Movie is being welcomed by the audience nicely and one can see viewer’s favorable response towards it in theatres and cinema halls. Expectations of the viewers have not been let down as Chakravyuha as it did a good job and overall second day or Saturday collection of Chakravyuha is 4.35 crores* in Karnataka & nearby regions. With so many good movies in the cinemas, audience waiting for the Kannada films have now been relieved with the release of latest Kannada film Chakravyuha. It opened quite well and got good audience response for it. First day performance of Chakravyuha was decent enough and now the film has collected much better today due to main weekend time.

The Kannada movie has got decent reviews from the audience. Puneeth Rajkumar’s performance and good content have won the hearts of the cine goers and these factors are likely to boost the collection of the film in the weekend. “Chakravyuha” has been written and directed by Tamil filmmaker M Saravanan. NK Lohith has bankrolled the flick, which has Rachita Ram as the female lead. Arun Vijay will be seen in the role of a baddie. Sadhu Kokila, Abhimanyu Singh, Bhavya and others are in the cast. It is a remake of the Tamil movie “Ivan Veramathiri,” which was directed by Saravanan himself.
