Major Ravi’s directorial 1971 Beyond Borders has taken good start on box office across the country. The reasons behind this, ofcourse the good number of screens. Although 1971 Beyond Borders has received more favorable response from viewers. Also, 1971 Beyond Borders has received almost mixed reviews from critics. The movie stars Mohanlal, Telugu actor Allu Sirish and Bollywood artist Arunoday Singh in lead roles.


All of them have performed very well, especially Mohanlal has once again proved his matchless skills. As per critics, his performance is the major reason which makes 1971 Beyond Borders entertaining. 1971 Beyond Borders is based on the true events of India-Pakistan war that took place in 1971, apart from the family story of Mohanlal’s character. The movie has been simultaneously made in Telugu as 1971 Bharatha Sarihaddu.

The Mohanlal-starrer gets released in over 405 screens across India, in Kerala, Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Delhi, NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Dehradun, Gujarat, Aurangabad, Nashik, Nagpur, Pune, Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata, Orissa and Goa.

On the opening 1971 Beyond Borders reported lesser occupancy and did the business of 2.12 crores* from 405 screens nationwide. Because of Mohanlal stardom, it was expected to get better opening but audience showed more interest towards the adjacent release.

The film has not shown any kind of decent growth on its second day and remained dull on most of the theatres by collecting just 1.85 crore* on its second day of release. With this total 2 days collection of 1971 Beyond Borders has become 3.97 crores* on domestic box office. Sunday is positively expected to result in more better and raise its opening weekend total to 7 crores*.
