The makers of Zombie Reddy have officially unveiled its sequel, Zombie Reddy 2 – Nxt Lvl, coinciding with lead actor Teja Sajja’s birthday. Backed by People Media Factory, the new film will return to the zombie-action-comedy universe established by the first instalment, while introducing a bigger cast and a broader scale.
Teja Sajja will reprise his role, with Kannada superstar Upendra joining the cast in a key part. The film will also mark Shanaya Kapoor’s debut in South Indian cinema, adding a fresh face to the franchise’s next chapter.
Directed by Suparn S Varma, Zombie Reddy 2 – Nxt Lvl is billed as a high-energy blend of zombie mayhem, action, comedy and adventure. Varma, known for his work on projects such as The Family Man 2, Rana Naidu and Haq, will helm the sequel, while Prasanth Varma, the creator of the original film, returns as its creative force.
Gowra Hari has been roped in as the music composer, following his work on films such as HanuMan and Mirai. The screenplay is jointly written by Hussain Dalal, Prasanth Varma and Suparn S Varma.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, the sequel is being planned as a worldwide release in seven languages — Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Nepali and Japanese. The multilingual rollout reflects the makers’ ambition to take the franchise to a much wider audience.
The title was revealed on Teja Sajja’s birthday, giving fans their first official glimpse of the upcoming sequel. With Teja Sajja returning alongside newcomers Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor, and Suparn S Varma and Prasanth Varma steering the project, Zombie Reddy 2 – Nxt Lvl promises a fresh storyline backed by larger-scale action and comedy.
The makers have yet to announce the film’s release date.
