Indian cinema is gearing up for one of its most ambitious mythological epics yet — and now it’s set to pack even more punch. Kannada superstar Yash, known globally for his gritty role in KGF, has joined forces with acclaimed Hollywood stunt director Guy Norris, the action mastermind behind Mad Max: Fury Road, for the upcoming multi-part epic Ramayana.

On Thursday, several photos from the sets of the film went viral on social media, in which Yash was seen preparing to bring Ravana to life in a larger-than-life action arc. The images also reveal Yash in peak physical form — ripped, intense, and battle-ready. His transformation hints at a fierce Ravana.

The first images from the production reveal the Yash, who leads the ensemble cast alongside Ranbir Kapoor, in peak physical condition, preparing to embody Ravana. Yash is committed to a substantial 60-70 day shooting schedule for “Ramayana Part 1.”

Directed by Dangal filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with Yash’s own Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is shaping up to be a cinematic spectacle of mythic proportions.

Ramayana Part 1 is slated for release during the 2026 Diwali holiday frame, with the second installment following on Diwali 2027.
