Aftab Shivdasani has reunited with Akshay Kumar for ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ after 16 years. The duo last shared screen space in ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’. Aftab posted on Instagram some old photos with Akshay, showing their long-time friendship. These pictures were taken 16 years apart, one in 2008 and the other in 2024.
The caption of Aftab’s post was playful, showing his excitement: “First Photo taken 16 years apart (2008 & 2024). As you can see, nothing has changed. Thank you ‘Awara’ for ‘welcome’-ing this ‘Deewana’ to this ‘Paagal’ Jungle! #welcometothejungle.”
The announcement for ‘Welcome 3’ was first made in September 2023 in the form of an ‘A capella’. ‘Welcome 3’, titled ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, is the third film in the ‘Welcome’ franchise.
The movie will feature many famous Bollywood actors such as Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Rajpal Yadav.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome to the Jungle’ is set to release on December 20, 2024.
