The most-awaited threequels, Welcome to the Jungle and Hera Pheri 3, are now in trouble. As per Bollywood Hungama, that Jio Studios has backed out of both projects due to financial issues and pending litigation involving Nadiadwala.
A trade source told Entertainment portal, The deal between Jio Studios and Firoz Nadiadwala was mediated by Akshay Kumar. “Akshay is still making efforts to be the peacemaker in resolving the conflicts. If things get better, Jio might take back the seat again, but at the moment, Jio is out. If one notices, there is no logo of Jio on the clapboard of Welcome To The Jungle and that’s due to the decision to part ways. The studio has taken a back seat from both Welcome 3 and Hera Pheri 3.”
“Firoz and Akshay are confident in finding another studio or resolving all disputes around Welcome to the Jungle to get Jio back on board before starting a new schedule in February,” the source concluded.
Welcome 3 has already gone on floors and the team has even completed a schedule in Mumbai. They are expecting to begin next in February 2024.
Welcome to the Jungle is arriving first, slated for Christmas 2024 release.
