The trailer for the highly anticipated Telugu mythological epic Kannappa has been released, and it promises a cinematic experience brimming with divine devotion, visual grandeur, and star power. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and headlined by Vishnu Manchu, the film is a reimagining of the legendary story of Kannappa, one of the greatest devotees of Lord Shiva.
The trailer opens by introducing a boy who does not believe in the existence of God and rushes to take matters into his own hands. However, his journey ends up making him a Shiv Bhakt. We also get a glimpse of the romance between a protagonist and his ladylove, who is a devotee to Lord Shiva.
Backed by Mohan Babu, ‘Kannappa’ stars Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, along with Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Preity Mukhundhan and Madhoo in pivotal roles. Mohanlal, Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, and Akshay Kumar’s debut in Telugu cinema.
Stephen Devassy have composed the original score and songs for the film. Suddala Ashok Teja, Ramajogayya Sastry, and Bhaskarabhatla are the lyricists for the songs of Kannappa.
Set for release on June 27, 2025, Kannappa is shaping up to be a visual and emotional spectacle that honors a legend beloved across generations.
