Vijay Deverakonda, one of the most popular stars in Indian cinema, is all set to make his grand return to the big screen with a pan-India epic titled Kingdom. The Hindi version of the film, titled Saamrajya, has been generating massive buzz ever since the trailer dropped.
The trailer was launched at an event in Tirupati, after which Deverakonda released the trailer on social media. “We built #Kingdom with fire in our hearts. A @gowtam19 action drama with an @anirudhofficial score. Today, I give you the trailer. Let it hit you like it hit me (sic),” Vijay wrote.
The trailer shows Vijay Deverakonda as Surya, a spy on a high-risk undercover mission set in a dystopian world. Tasked with infiltrating hostile territory, he is forced to abandon everything he holds dear. As the mission unfolds, unexpected twists lead him to forge an unlikely alliance with the very army he was meant to destroy. The trailer also offers glimpses of Satyadev and Manish Chaudhary in pivotal roles.
Directed by the talented Gowtam Tinnanuri, best known for his directorial success Jersey, Kingdom (or Saamrajya) is expected to be a visual treat with a strong storyline. The film’s scale, as evidenced by the trailer, is nothing short of massive, with action, emotion, and drama packed into every frame.
Produced by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the excitement surrounding Kingdom (or Saamrajya) is scheduled to be release on 31 July 2025.
