Next Friday, two big films from two different genres are releasing in theatres. One is Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur and the other one is Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Ahead of the exciting clash at the box office, Vicky recently opened up about competing with Ranbir.
Speaking to The Indian Express, giving an example of sports, Vicky Kaushal said, “When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won’t say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema.”
When asked which film will hit big at the box office, Kaushal said, “The audience will decide.”
Sam Bahadur is a biopic film, based on India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film focuses on the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is based on a fractured relationship between a father and a son. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.
Both films are releasing on December 1, 2023.
