After a decent opening weekend, Thalapathy Vijay starrer Varisu remained steady on weekdays and registered an overall decent first week at the box office.
At the weekend, Varisu did a business of 4.10 crores with 0.81 crores on Friday, 1.61 crores on Saturday, and 1.68 crores on Sunday.
Then on weekdays, the film recorded a huge drop in footfalls and minted an amount of 0.64 crores on Monday and 0.55 crores on Tuesday and 0.49 crores on Wednesday.
With a normal drop on Thursday, it raked 0.44 crores nett and registered a 7-day total collection of 6.22 crores from Hindi screens across the country.
The film was directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations for a huge budget. Apart from Vijay, the film features Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Srikanth Meka and Shaam in important roles. Composer S Thaman scored the tunes and most of the songs were chartbusters.
