After a fantastic opening week, Vicky Kaushal’s latest offering Uri The Surgical Strike has passed its second week as well on a superb note. Uri: The Surgical Strike, the first bona fide box-office hit of 2019, is the first box-office century for Vicky as a lead star.
The current trend suggests that the film will easily become part of the Rs 150 crore-club. Produced by RSVP Movies, Uri has received very positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience for its impactful story-line, powerful screenplay and the brilliant performance by lead star cast.
Aditya Dhar’s directorial opened on a decent note initially but picked up very well due to strong word of mouth. By remained super-strong throughout the opening week, it did the business of 70.94 crores, that included 35.73 crores of the weekend and 35.21 crores of weekdays from 1200 screens across the country.
In the second week as well, Uri remained rock-solid despite Why Cheat India and showed remarkable growth over the weekend. It registered the business of total 38.22 crores on the second weekend with 7.70 crores on 2nd Friday, 13.35 crores on 2nd Saturday, and 17.17 crores on 2nd Sunday.
Then on weekdays, this Hindi action drama maintained a strong pace and minted the amount of 6.82 crores on 2nd Monday, 6.30 crores on 2nd Tuesday, and 6 crores on 2nd Wednesday. On the next day i.e. 2nd Thursday also Uri The Surgical Strike collected 5.20 crores and raised its 2 weeks total collection to 133.48 crores at the domestic box office.
