Despite a festive release and weekend advantage, the film has faced noticeable pressure due to strong competition from Dhurandhar, which released three weeks earlier and continues to dominate theatres.
The romantic drama opened on a positive note on Thursday (Christmas Day holiday) with a collection of Rs 8.46 crore. However, the momentum slowed on Friday, when the film earned Rs 6.03 crore, marking a drop after the holiday boost. Saturday brought some recovery, but the growth remained limited.
Trade analysts point out that the dip in collections can largely be attributed to Dhurandhar, which is still performing exceptionally well at the box office. The film has already crossed Rs 700 crore in the Indian market, retaining a strong hold over premium screens and audience attention, thereby impacting new releases.
With the Saturday figures included, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri now stands at a total of Rs 21.24 crore. While the film has found appreciation among its target audience, the ongoing dominance of Dhurandhar has restricted its full potential at the box office.
Sunday’s numbers will be crucial to determine whether the film can register stronger growth or continue to face stiff competition in the days ahead.
