The spread of COVID-19 has adversely affected the world in every sector. This stoppage has affected us both economically and mentally. Across the world, a lot of people from the film industry have committed suicide due to the lack of work and monetary support.
In this pandemic, YouTube has helped the young content creators to maintain their content graph. Mumbai based film enthusiast Pravin Acharya is one of those. Amidst lockdown, he received a call from a friend from Australia who shared a script with him which Pravin thought of implementing in real and soon the pre-production started.
WhatsApp was the medium of communication between cast and crew. The short film ‘Lockdown Love Story’ is now out on their YouTube channel but surprisingly, not a single cast and crew member met each other during this shoot. Everything was shot by the respective actors on their phones at their homes.
Talking about this Pravin says, “It was a project that came to me from an Australia based friend, we finalized the flow and the cast. I dedicated one day to every actor and finalized their shots. No actor met each other, one of them is Ahmedabad based.”
