Fans of pan-Indian superstar Prabhas have reason to celebrate — his much-awaited film ‘The Raja Saab’ is officially set to hit theatres on December 5, 2025. Along with this exciting announcement, the makers have also revealed that the first teaser will be unveiled on June 16, giving audiences a sneak peek into what promises to be a genre-defying cinematic experience.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be a refreshing departure from Prabhas’ recent high-octane action roles. The film is being touted as a romantic horror-comedy — a rare mix in mainstream Telugu cinema. Prabhas reportedly plays a dual role, one of which includes a supernatural element, adding layers of intrigue and excitement to the storyline.
The cast features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in lead roles, with music by the ever-reliable Thaman S and visuals handled by Karthik Palani. Produced by People Media Factory, the film has been in the spotlight since it was first announced, thanks in no small part to Prabhas’ star power and the film’s unconventional theme.
The Raja Saab was initially expected to arrive earlier in the year, but post-production demands — especially on the visual effects front — led to a shift in plans. The team has reportedly invested significant effort into crafting a visually rich film that balances horror elements with humor and emotion, making it worth the wait for audiences.
The film features a multi-language release strategy, with a simultaneous rollout planned in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
