Anupham Kher starrer The Kashmir Files has become the first Hindi film of 2022 to make a place in the 200 crore club. The film, which hit screens on March 11, has earned a whopping amount of 200.13 crore in the first 13 days.
Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files was opened on a good note. Due to a solid word of mouth, it remained super-strong throughout the opening week and registered the business of 97.30 crores which included 27.15 crores in the weekend and 70.15 crores on weekdays nationwide.
In the second weekend, Zee Studios and Abhishek Agarwal Arts’ production once again showed a remarkable jump despite several new Hindi offerings and did the business of 70.15 crores with 19.15 crores on Friday, 24.80 crores on Saturday & 26.20 crores on Sunday. Now it is running on weekdays but still has a superb hold over the audience nationwide.
On 2nd Monday, The Kashmir Files faced a slight drop of 35.25% vis-a-vis 2nd Friday and minted 12.40 crores, while on 2nd Tuesday, it collected 10.25 crores. On the next day i.e. 2nd Wednesday, with a further decline, it raked 10.03 crores and raised 13 days total domestic collection to 200.13 crores nett.
Presented by Zee Studios, Uri The Surgical Strike has got succeed to impress everyone with its gripping content. For their commendable performance, the entire cast of the film has received huge appreciation from the critics as well as the audience.
The film has been in theaters for two weeks now. The upcoming weekend poses a challenge for The Kashmir Files as it witnesses competition from SS Rajamouli’s RRR. So far, no other film has managed to slow down TKF’s success.
