The trailer of Thalapathy Vijay starrer The Greatest Of All Time aka GOAT (Thalapathy is the GOAT in Hindi) is finally out! This film features Vijay in a dual role and is among the most eagerly awaited Tamil films of the year. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the sci-fi action film is bankrolled by AGS Entertainment.
The trailer shows Vijay in a dual role – father and son. But it seems, there will be more surprises, with Vijay in a triple role, a very young version of Vijay. Once director Venkat Prabhu had tweeted saying that the fans will definitely have a treat watching Vijay in a never seen role.
In a recent interview, the director told the media that his film is a fictional story where Vijay plays a RAW agent. He said, “‘GOAT’ is a fictional story. But, we have made it closer to reality. Vijay and his core team are a part of the Special Anti Terrorist Squad. It is a wing of RAW. What they did in the past becomes a problem in the present. How Vijay and his core team face the challenges forms the story.”
Apart from Vijay, the movie also features Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Premgi Amaren, Yugendran, VTV Ganesh, Aravind Akash, Sneha, Laila, and Yogi Babu, all taking on significant roles.
The narrative of GOAT, combined with Vijay’s robust performance, promises to provide an exciting cinematic experience like no other. GOAT is scheduled to hit the silver screens on September 5 in the IMAX format in languages including Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
