The new South Indian films with opposite genres have released at the box office this Thursday. The period-action adventure film, Thangalaam has expectedly taken a good opening, while Double iSmart and Mr Bachchan have, unfortunately, gathered a negative word of mouth.
On Thursday, despite Independence day holiday, Pa. Ranjith’s directorial was opened at an ordinary note in the morning. Post noon shows, it took a fair jump in multiplexes and registered the opening business of Rs 12.50 crores* nett.
On the other hand, Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt starrer Double iSmart has got failed to convince the audience because of its dull screenplay. As a result, it has managed to collect Rs 7 crore* nett on Thursday.
While, Mr. Bachchan had started the journey at a dull note of around 15% in the morning. Unfortunately, it didn’t witness the required growth over the evening & night shows and ended up at Rs 3.12 crores* nett.
