Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 3rd day collection: The box office competition remained intense on Thursday, Day 3 of release, for the two films that premiered on Tuesday. While the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Thamma’ maintained its lead, the romantic drama ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ continued to show a surprisingly resilient performance despite its smaller screen count.
The horror-comedy ‘Thamma’ opened strongly with Rs 25.11 crore on Tuesday, but collections dropped to Rs 19.23 crore on Wednesday and further to Rs 14.45 crore on Thursday. This brings the three-day total net collection for the horror-comedy to a formidable Rs 58.79 crore.
In a parallel run, the romantic drama ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ also experienced a drop-off, starting with a respectable Rs 10.10 crore on Tuesday, followed by Rs 8.88 crore on Wednesday, and concluding the first three days with Rs 7.10 crore on Thursday. With this, its 3 days domestic box office collection around Rs 26.08 crore.
Despite the day-on-day decline for both, ‘Thamma‘ clearly dominated the opening three days, while ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat‘ secured a decent three-day collection.
Both films will now look to capitalize on the upcoming weekend to boost their collections further and solidify their box office standing.
