After thee blockbuster success of Leo, Thalapathy Vijay is now teaming up with director Venkat Prabhu for the first time and the film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, is produced by Kalapathi S Aghoram’s AGS Entertainment. While the film’s pooja happened earlier this month, the makers have just released a clip of the ceremony through which they also revealed the cast and crew of the film.
The video began with Vijay walking into the puja venue with his unmissbale swag. He then welcomed Meenakshi Chaudhary, who is reportedly roped in to play the lead opposite the actor. He went on to welcome Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Jayaram, Premji, Vaibhav, Ajay Raj, Aravind Akash, Mohan, Laila, VTV Ganesh, Ameer, and Yogi Babu, along with the crew.
The filmmaker’s go-to music director, Yuvan Shankar Raja, will be composing music for Thalapathy 68. The film will mark the reunion of Vijay and Yuvan after 2003’s Pudhiya Geethai, which remains their only collaboration to date.
The film’s cinematography will be by Siddhartha Nuni while editing will be handled by Venkat Raajen. Thalapathy 68, which went on floors earlier this month, is currently in production.
The release date is yet to be announced.
