Though Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is ends its second week, and refuses to slow down at the box office. Meanwhile, Tanhaji is enjoying good support of the audience across the country and set to cross the 200 crore-mark at the domestic box office. It was made on a budget of Rs 150 crore.
Directed by Om Raut, the perid action-drama has got succeed to entertain everyone and did the business of 118.91 crores in the first week. In the second weekend, it had maintained a strong pace and raked 48.54 crores that included 10.06 crores on Friday, 16.36 crores on Saturday & 22.12 crores on Sunday.
Then on weekdays as well, Tanhaji has remained rock-solid and minted the amount of 8.17 crores on 2nd Monday, 7.72 crores on 2nd Tuesday & 7.09 crores on 2nd Wednesday. On the next day i.e. 2nd Thursday, it has managed to collect 7.02 crores and raised 2 weeks total collection to 197.45 crores nett.
On the other hand, after an underperformed opening week, Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey starrer Chhapaak has maintained some pace in the second week and remained almost steady. In the second weekend, it did the business of 4.10 crores which included 0.95 crore on Friday, 1.40 crores on Saturday & 1.75 crores on Sunday.
Then on weekdays, Meghna Gulzar’s directorial minted 0.49 crore on 2nd Monday, 0.42 crore on 2nd Tuesday, 0.36 crore on 2nd Wednesday & 0.30 crore on 2nd Thursday. After 2 weeks, the total collection of Chhapaak has become 35.05 crores nett including the business of 28.38 crores from the first week.
