Salman Khan is set to take audiences to Afghanistan—at least on screen—with his upcoming film SVC63, directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
According to a report by mid-day, the filmmaker has recreated an Afghan village at Prime Focus Studio in Film City, Goregaon, for the film’s ongoing Mumbai schedule. The elaborate set features mud-plastered structures, narrow lanes and weathered homes, designed to lend authenticity to several key action sequences.
A source cited by mid-day revealed that Nayanthara has joined Salman Khan for this portion of the shoot. The two actors are expected to share the screen in crucial action set-pieces, making the current schedule an important part of the film’s production.
The Mumbai leg of the shoot began on August 6, with Paidipally reportedly aiming to complete a substantial portion of the action material during this schedule. The recreated Afghan village is expected to serve as the backdrop for some of the film’s major sequences.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, SVC63 brings together Salman Khan and Nayanthara for a large-scale entertainer. The project is presented by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and is produced by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore, with Rafi Kazi serving as co-producer.
The film is currently slated for an Eid 2027 release.
