Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Box Office Collection: Varun-Janhvi’s Film Earns Rs 70.12 Crore within 5 Weeks from India

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (SSKTK), which debuted with a Thursday release, has proven to be an interesting box office case study. Despite a strong opening, the film has seen a steep decline in its box office collections over the weeks. Let’s break down the film’s box office performance and the trends it exhibited over its run so far.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Box Office Collection: Varun-Janhvi's Film Earns Rs 70.12 Crore within 5 Weeks from India

In its first week, SSKTK made a strong start, grossing a solid Rs 44 crore over 8 days. This was a good result for the film, considering it was released on a Thursday, meaning it had one less day of traditional weekend earnings.

The second week saw a sharp drop, with the film earning Rs 15.88 crore. While this was still a respectable amount, the significant decline indicated that the initial excitement was beginning to wane. This dip was expected, as most films experience a fall in earnings after the first week, but the magnitude of the drop was a cause for concern.

The third week further showcased the film’s dwindling fortunes, with a collection of just Rs 6.73 crore. At this point, the film’s audience base had likely become more niche, with most of the general movie-going audience moving on to newer releases.

By the fourth week, the film had drastically dropped, earning a mere Rs 2.58 crore. A more than 60% drop from the previous week is common for films after their third week, but in this case, it was a noticeable decline.

In its fifth week, the film earned only Rs 0.93 crore. This is a significant drop from the previous weeks, marking the film’s transition into its final days at the box office. At the end of its 5-week run, SSKTK has managed to accumulate a total of Rs 70.12 crore.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment. SSKTK boasts an ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf, alongside Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi in supporting roles.
