Director of pan-Indian films like Baahubali and RRR, SS Rajamouli is currently assembling a production team for a new movie about the birth and rise of Indian Cinema.
As per report by Pinkvilla, the director would be actually announcing his first production, which is rumored to be about the rise of Indian Cinema through the ages. However, there is no confirmation regarding this. The announcement is most likely to take place before 11 a.m., today morning.
More than a decade back, a Marathi film titled Harishchandrachi Factory was made on the birth of cinema in India through the efforts of Dhundiraj Govind Phalke aka Dadasaheb Phalke. The film saw Nandu Madhav play Phalke, who later came to be known as the Father of Indian Cinema.
The director’s next venture is said to be with Mahesh Babu, which would mark the first collaboration between the director and the actor.
SS Rajamouli’s last venture was RRR, which starred Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. The film also featured an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris, and more.
