Sri Venkateswara Creations has officially confirmed two major Bollywood projects, setting off excitement across both Hindi and Telugu film industries. Producer Sirish announced that the banner is moving ahead with the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam, with Akshay Kumar onboard as the lead.

The confirmation comes after weeks of conflicting reports about the actor’s involvement. While earlier rumours suggested he had opted out, the producer has now clarified that Akshay Kumar will indeed headline the film.
According to the production house, the Hindi version will not be a frame-by-frame remake. Instead, it will be a “reimagined” adaptation, with nearly 60% freshly written content and the remaining narrative retaining the essence of the original.
The film is set to be directed by Anees Bazmee, marking his reunion with Akshay Kumar after more than a decade. The project is expected to go on floors in February 2026.
Vamshi Paidipally Teams Up With Salman Khan
In another major announcement, Sirish confirmed that the company is also collaborating with Salman Khan for a new film to be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. While details of the plot and production timeline remain under wraps, the news has generated buzz as it marks Paidipally’s return to Bollywood after Varisu and strengthens the South–Bollywood collaboration wave.
A Packed Slate for 2026
Sri Venkateswara Creations is reportedly planning to release six films in 2026, including a mix of Telugu originals and big-scale Hindi ventures. With two of India’s biggest stars—Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan—attached to upcoming projects, the production house appears set for one of its most ambitious years yet.
