Director Rohit Shetty action flick Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has saw a good fourth-weekend collection at the box office. The cop saga has emerged the first hit film since the release of Tanhaji in January 2020.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment & Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Sooryavanshi has got succeed to entertain many in theatres and gathered a solid word of mouth. In the opening week, it registered the massive domestic business of Rs 120.67 crores nett.
In the second week as well, it showed a tremendous performance and did the business of Rs 45.58 nett. Then in its third week, it got affected by the new release but still managed to collect 18.68 crores with Rs 12.36 crores in the weekend and Rs 6.32 crores on weekdays.
After 3 weeks, the total collection of Sooryavanshi was recorded at 184.93 crores. Now it is running in the fourth week and passed the weekend on a decent note. On 4th Friday, Cop-drama faced a significant drop in footfalls and minted the amount of Rs 0.71 crore.
On 4th Saturday, Reliance Entertainment’s presentation once again took growth and raked the business of Rs 1.43 crore. On the next day i.e. 4th Sunday, with a further jump, Sooryavanshi bagged the amount of Rs 2.05 crore and raised its 24 days total collection to Rs 189.12 crores at the domestic box office.
