Soorarai Pottru Hindi Remake: The makers announced on Tuesday that the Hindi version of the hit Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru will open in theatres on September 1, 2023. Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead, the remake is directed by Sudha Kongara, who also helmed the Suriya-starrer original, which premiered on Prime Video in November 2020.
Akshay shared the release date and wrote, “We are ready for take off! ✈️ Production No. 27 (Untitled) releases in theatres worldwide on 1st September, 2023.”
Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment and 2D Entertainment led by Suriya, Jyothika Sadanah and Rajsekar Pandian are partnering as producers on the Hindi film. Interestingly, Suriya has also co-produced the Hindi version.
The upcoming Hindi adaptation of Soorarai Pottru also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal.
Apart from this film, Akshay is currently shooting for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan‘ with Tiger Shroff. He has other releases like ‘OMG: Oh My God 2‘ lined up ahead.
