After the announcement of Harshvardhan Rane as the leading man in Deewaniyat, the makers have now confirmed that the immensely talented Sonam Bajwa will star opposite him, making for a fresh and exciting on-screen pairing.
Bajwa, known for popular Punjabi film franchises such as “Sardaar Ji”, “Carry on Jatta”, and “Nikka Zaildar”, shared the news of her casting in the movie on Instagram.
“So thrilled to bring the fire of love to #Deewaniyat! An intense saga of passion & heartbreak, starring alongside the amazing @harshvardhanrane!” she wrote on Wednesday.
The film is being directed by Milap Zaveri, the famous film writer of films like Marjaavaan, Satyamev Jayte and Kaagaz, among others. The film is being produced by Amulv Mohan and Vikir Motion Pictures. Deewaniyat is written by Mushtaq Shiekh and Milap.
Deewaniyat is set to go on floors in the coming months. The film is gearing up for a theatrical release in late 2025, promising to be an unforgettable romantic saga.
