Tabu, one of the most celebrated performers in Indian cinema, is expected to take on a distinctive role in the upcoming action drama. The glimpse has further heightened curiosity around the actress’s character and her dynamic with the film’s protagonist, played by Vijay Sethupathi.

In ‘SlumDog – 33 Temple Road’, Tabu plays Gauri Hegde, a police officer. Her character appears to be an important part of the film’s gritty world, which is set against the backdrop of urban slums and explores themes of exploitation, survival and resistance.

The film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, portraying a rugged, visually impaired slum dweller whose mysterious past and fight against exploitation form a central part of the story.

The combination of Vijay Sethupathi and Tabu has become one of the major talking points surrounding the project, particularly given the film’s action-oriented premise and Puri Jagannadh’s distinctive storytelling style.

Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, ‘SlumDog – 33 Temple Road’ is being positioned as a pan-India action drama. The movie is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

The supporting cast includes Samyuktha Menon, Duniya Vijay and VTV Ganesh, adding further star power to the project.

The film is produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and JB NarayanRao Kondrolla.
