Sitaare Zameen Par 1st day box office collection: Aamir Khan’s latest offering, Sitaare Zameen Par, hit the theatres on Friday, and early box office numbers suggest the film is off to a promising start.
Directed by R. S. Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions, and follows a suspended basketball coach who must serve community service by helping a team of players with disabilities prepare for a tournament.
Despite the favourable buzz, the sports drama had a modest start at the box office, collecting an estimated Rs 10.70 crore on its opening day.
Interestingly, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ couldn’t surpass the Day 1 collection of Aamir’s previous film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which earned Rs 11.70 crore on release day in 2022.
Alongside Aamir Khan, the film stars Genelia Deshmukh and marks the debut of ten fresh faces in Hindi cinema. With the weekend ahead, all eyes are on whether ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ can turn its promising start into a box office success.
